Wortox skilltree (+Healer/DPS/+Mobility)

Inspiried by recents skilltrees, i'd like to share an idea that was having in the past week on how could wortox have an adkill tree, and here's what i came with:

HEALING

1 Branch

+1 Hp healing per soul

+2 Hp healing per soul

+3 Hp healing per soul

2 Branch

+1 Hp when healing groups

+2 Hp when healing groups

+3 Hp when healing Groups

3 Branch

increase area of effect a little bit (1/3 extra tile)

increase area of effect a little bit (2/3 extra tile)

increase area of effect a little bit (1 extra tile)

4 Branch

+1 sanity per soul dropped

+2 sanity per soul dropped

+3 sanity per soul dropped

Healing Perk

Wortox can now store up to 30 souls

MOBILITY

5 Branch

add 1 sec to eccho soul

add 3 sec to eccho soul

add 5 sec to eccho soul

6 Branch

Increases the distance for maximum traveling through the map by reducing the amount of souls needed for it: (you can reach longer and cheaper). 20 souls max distances becomes:

18 souls

15 souls

10 souls

Mobility perk

Wortox's able to Echo a third time

CONSUMPTION

7 Branch

Restores +3 hungry meter when eating

Restores +6 hungry meter when eating

Restores +10 hungry meter when eating

8 Branch

Change to -3 sanity loss when eating souls

Change to -1 sanity loss when eating souls

No sanity loss when eating souls

9 Branch

Hitting a mob now has a chance of dropping 1 soul while fighting:

5% chance per hit

10% chance per hit

15% chance per hit

Consumption perk

Wortox can now craft Soul Sword with 10 souls needed, 200 uses and the ability to do dmg the more souls you have in the inventory (linear association):

0 souls  : 14 dmg

5 souls  : 24 dmg

10 souls: 35 dmg

15 souls: 59 dmg

20 souls: 84 dmg

SHADOW PERK

The queen grants you the ability to craft soul vortex machine: a stationary device that collects souls for you (5 souls/day) maximum storage 10 souls, need to be collected in order to keep harvesting more souls

MOON PERK

Wearing the lunar set grants you the ability to not receive more souls that you can have, instead souls are left on the ground until used for healing or you get a space for it

 

Final notes:

-You can choose 1 perk between healing, mobility and consumption, the idea for the dps branch is that you cannot use the souls so you make maximum dps, ergo you can not heal anymore (or you shouldnt)

-Combining the soul sword with the lunar perk, will make u a killing machine

-the mobility perk is going to make wortox the best kiting character in the game (besides wanda)

 

Soooo hoped you liked it, i definitivly see some of this being on the actual skill tree that wortox will get in the future.

I'm not a fan of skill tree, but I'm participating in the thread simply for the fun of brainstorming.

A soul-related weapon seems a very interesting idea! I want to suggest my version of the weapon:

Soul-Good Shield :

- recipe: Shield of Terror + 10 souls 

- damage: 38 + 30 planar damage (same as brightshade sword)

- protection: 80%

- durability: 315

Effect 1: Any attack on mobs uses their soul to repair the shield. Shield gain 5 durability per hit. This effect is only available to Wortox. Attacking soulless target loses 2 durability.

Effect 2: Can be repaired by food just like Shield of Terror.

Effect 3: Mobs attacked by Soul Shield loses part of their soul, causing their attack damage to be weakened by 25% for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, non-boss mobs will panic for 1 sec and lose aggro completely.

Effect 4: When shield reaches 0% durability, the shield will break, dropping a shield of Terror of 1% durability and 5 souls on the ground.

Note: The effective damage reduction of soul shield is 85% considering enemies weakened attack damage. For the same reason, its actual durability is 420 rather than 315 in ideal scenarios. So it's actually better than Shield of Terror secretly in all ways

More than weapons, I think wortox needs a guard to guard his loot in case it's stolen.

The Guardian:

Recipe :10 stones + 5 souls

Damage :55

Health :800

Effect 1: Provides 12 cells of storage or more

Effect 2: Deal damage to an approaching creature and slow it down

Effect 3: wortox is warned that the treasure has been invaded

Unsure if raising the Soul cap in general is out of the question but that was my first thought after others got their skill trees, the Lunar & Shadow paths are something I can't wrap my head around. Soul Stones are another thought that came to mind as an interesting character craft of sorts, maybe as some way of storing extra souls for later use or in case of death.

(Maybe going the F&H route with a Boss Soul filling it and giving some small yet interesting ability/buff or something...)

Allow wortox to teleport his beefalo like the lazy explorer already does! and maybe allow healing the mounted beefalo as well. Yeah... thats pretty much it...

His curse is in his hands, so maybe if he has over x souls his unarmed attack does something cool at the cost of a soul

Maybe invisibility too, lose agro and make it easier to heal the party.

I think it would be cool to see something that ties him in with krampus or his pranks a little more too. Maybe a unique interaction with the krampus sack similar to dnd wild magic with a random pull that could help or hurt the party or just confuse everyone, along with a increased drop rate

His empty survivor crafting tab always makes me wish I could use the souls to craft something cool, or refill something.

Additional effects when he's teleporting, dropping, or overflowing with souls could always add to the fun. 

More soul storage is always welcome too. The chance to drop more or less souls, with a sanity drain dependant on how many souls release.

I think making things more random would make him have that playful chaotic feel.

I'd like to see the shadow side of the skill tree change the team heal to something more selfish. Maybe a trap or a ghost that pulls agro before bursting, with the goal being killing small mobs to feed back into souls for teleporting. 

The moon side could embrace the team heal more, maybe his heal could grant a shield that takes one hit, gives more sanity, and maybe even a small sanity buff for fellow survivors. Picking the moon side should remove his monster status to pigs and bunnies too.

Sounds cool except the monster status thing  I was just thinking what if the interaction with krampus sack could be a craft for something that holds more souls and what if he could make soul followers or something
