Digi62BR
I thought it was incredible that he commands the salamanders to defend him like Wicker's bees :3 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149133-the-skill-of-salamanders-is-incredible/ Share on other sites
Ardyn
For those who prefer agriculture over combat, salamanders are a good bodyguard. Wormwood only needs to maintain a distance from the battlefield (it is afraid of fire) to easily watch salamanders help Wormwood defeat enemies. I thought Wormwood being weak to fire is a DS thing not DST. He takes 25% more damage to being set on fire and being near fire, it is mostly negligible though. I for the love of can't find any info about it being a thing in DST and i just had this conversation in YT comments regarding Salamanders being dangerous to Wormwood due to Wormwood easily catching fire. It should be further added that in DST, the ignition time of wormwood is 25% longer than that of ordinary characters Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149133-the-skill-of-salamanders-is-incredible/#findComment-1647298 Share on other sites

This is from tuning.lua: The sanity penalty for being around burning plants is only in single player though. (EDIT: it's in DST too, see next 2 posts) I don't believe Wormwood has anything that makes him catch fire faster either. I believe it does, general destruction of plants still lowers his sanity. It's just, so comically small that you never notice it haha, it's 2 sanity at closest distance to destroyed plant iirc. They toned it down super hard so that multiplayer wasn't unbearable for Wormwood when others are gathering and chopping around him. I did some testing and the sanity penalty is still there as you said. What I didn't realize is that it only applies after the plant is fully burned, and that it's a sanity drain instead of a flat -2 (though It does appear to stop after it drains 2): wwfire.mp4 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149133-the-skill-of-salamanders-is-incredible/#findComment-1647336 Share on other sites
Baark0
Do wormwood summoned saladmanders heal? Or do you need to wait for them to die while ripe and re-craft them?
