eliza03
I really like the new skill trees, in my opinion it adds nice freshness to the game, but I think being able to start a new world with 15 skill points is too much and change the early game loop significantly. I think the skill tree should only open up once the player activates one of the new lunar and shadow portals. This will add a sense of progression and reward players and give actual reason to open up the portal and face its consequences. On top of that, it will address all the early game power creep issues. Wilson should get the skill tree from the start because that's his thing.

Notecja
I actually would just suggest, that lunar and shadow skill trees required opening rifts - the normal parts are cool to stay as they are, because are fun, some add early game perks/crafts and some general gameplay perks. Just planar damage, defense and stuff like that should be more "after-rift", as currently you can beat required bosses as other character and get unlock on everybody. The fact is that most newer players (and sometimes older players) wont be able to open those portals as they are just not experienced/skilled enough to perform all those steps. i do agree that the skill tree shouldnt be a one time thing that you unlock once and keep it forever for all games, but i think there should be other methods of unlocking it in game. Other less difficult milestones could be used (things like seasonal bosses for example , since they are both things that everyplayer has to tackle at some point and are not that very difficult compared to raid bosses) to distribute points to be spent into the skill tree and the final parts of the skill tree (shadow and lunar part) could end up being restricted behind opening the portals. 2 hours ago, eliza03 said: Wilson should get the skill tree from the start because that's his thing. About wilson getting the skill tree from the start , i would much prefer if wilson had a slightly reworked skill tree (his torch part is really underwhelming) and had extra points rather than just 15 points , that he could take in between games and use them from the start of the game. dois raios
I hope it doesnt, people with the same character will have different skills, making early game different for each player, reducing skills or inspiring points in the early game will most likely make everyone the same character again.
