Scrapbook Icon art quality

"An image is worth a thousand words". I present you with 3 images:

1) the new Scrapbook pop-up

2) some random DST Steam Workshop mod in-game item menu

..and 3) the old navigator menu icon

 

Any significant difference between them?!

This is what happens when updates need to happen so frequently the quality in content dips a lot since they have to put it out on a schedule and then begin working on the next thing... or maybe they are getting cheaper artists idk lol still pretty sad how the art quality isn't as detailed as before oh well

Doesn't matter their functions - look at the details of their executions. "Attention to details" isn't just for show (pun included).

That map in 3rd example combines sketch art with fine texturing, elegant through an intricate (as the size permitted it) Compass Rose to boost.
Meanwhile 1st example is like a beginner's doodle - almost no texturing at all, bulky black outline even inside, quite dissonant with rest of UI artwork.

The design is alright. What is sorely needed is a few scribbly lines and shading. >_>

is just a place holder, probably they are working on a better image, same happened with the new crafting ui

you know we are in beta, right ? usually we get early version of the sprites during the first part of it, like how the brightshade items didnt have any of the effects they have now, the already mentioned crafting menu looked at the beggining, also i think its extremly unnfair to say the art is less detailed, the chains in the new robe move acording to the players movements, the umbralla has amazing animations etc. Even sound wise we now have exclusive sounds for picking different materials.

I am hopeful they will improve pop-up to at least be in line with other, like gift and insight one. With all respect and love to Klei, but current one is an eyesore.

Being called "Scrapbook" makes me think at something more.. bookish. Even if we're taking solely the current one's concept (without all the needed texturing & shading), is just a paper with other papers on top of it (pinned, glued or otherwise). Perhaps a closed/opened book with markers & crumbled papers sticking out would do it more justice. And, of course, a more "sketchy"/scribbled outline.
