[Suggestion] Convert the houndius damage into planar damage, and also allow it to be deconstructable

Recommended Posts

Pretty self explanatory. Considering the item needs 2 boss drops, I do feel it being able to deal planar damage would be pretty fitting. The deconstructing part is so you can deconstruct them if you misplace them or don’t believe they are necessary in a specific spot anymore, as you otherwise need to kill them, voiding the drops.

I don't think planar damage would be a sufficient buff, personally. It just straight up needs better dps. My take would be bumping up the damage to 100, and making it shoot twice as fast.

That's a good idea. I don't remember the last time I crafted the Houndius Shootius tbh. Currently only people who have like 5k days and have reset ruins about 30 times use it, because they can craft massive amounts of them. But for the average players this item doesn't exist.

Id rather have them be hammered and drop the houndius item.

I don’t personally like this approach too much. I feel like that would be a bit too easy, and if you already have multiple houndius you have a very high likelihood you have quite a few green gems to deconstruct the ones in odd spots.

As for the other points, I definitely would like to see a buff to its capabilities, since it would be nice to see. Definitely wouldn’t mind seeing a dps/attack speed increase.

I suggest leave houndius shootius as is.

BUT, give it upgrade from Brightshade smith kit or shadow kits, and players gets to choose one of the upgrades.

Lunar upgrade give its attack bounces like the bounce staff.

Shadow upgrade leaves behind a shadow cloud for 3 seconds, and damage any mobs inside of it.
