Statue alignment?

When I work with statues, dropping them seems a little haphazard, yet other people seem to be able to position them exactly where they want them.  What am I doing wrong?

Have a body suit item in your inventory (for example log suit).

Once you're in the location where you want the statue, equip the logsuit. This will cause the statue (or any heavy object, for that matter) to fall directly where you're standing

You can also try doing forcedrop. Also also you can use walls to get then perfectly. There is a mod for statue placement if you play on pc.

On a side note when I read the title I thought about statues being shadow lunar aligned. Now that I think about it... They kind of are.

You can also quickdrop the statue the same way you do with items
