Are DLC characters canon?

I like comparing Don't Starve's plot to how the plot in a sitcom works, you have the main cast that the show revolves around, and then you have occasional one-off/recurring characters have their own episodes. To me that's how the DLC characters feel when talking about canon.

why wouldn't the dlc characters be canon, just because they aren't used as much as the free characters doesn't mean they aren't canon

and according to wanda's quotes, everything in the game is, was and will be canon

i was hoping wanda and wortox were not canon because their existance is so convoluted imo. but oh well, didnt know they explicitly said dlc characters were canon

Wanda was so canon that her existence spawned infinite timelines of infinite possibility, immediately making everything technically canon if you engage in enough timey-wimey...stuff.

That's before getting into Wortox canonizing alternate, completely conceptually different yet apparently connected realities.

That said... they're not... actually important to the story at all, so??

 

Short version: Nyes. There is no singular canon, so everything is kind of valid. Just focus on what you like.
