Base Manager
Inspired by the can-bus lines used in the automotive industry i bring to you 2 setups that will alow all of your systems to write info into the same ribon, the ideia is, you have a frequency generator in the form of a and gate+ a timer sensor going at 0.1s, and then have the nº of pulses counted in order to create a specific code, this code will be writen into bit 1 and 2 by the encoder setup and then, read on the other side by the decoder setup that counts the pulses in a specific bit and should the code be read it will emit a constant signal, the idea is to have the constant sigal from the sensor(analog) transformed into frequency(digital) this way, should you have enough space, you can connect all your systems in all of your planets into a single ribon alowing for example a powerplant at the bottom of your base to comunicate to the gas planet. Below i provide you some images to help you set this up. I did my best to try and explain this in a video. Hopefully this will help someone deal with the spaghetti monster Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/145439-can-bus-line-automation/ Share on other sites
SackMaggie
Actually no idea what it did, my brain can't handle it. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/145439-can-bus-line-automation/#findComment-1616689 Share on other sites
Jann5s
This is awesome from a "geeking out" perspective, but it will only feed the spaghetti monster. If we get some buildings to shrink the receiver and sender I would use it. But we already have 16 bit ribbons. psusi
The CAN bus is a marvelous thing. Highly robust even in the most noisy of environments.
