Demolish/Reconstruct Point of Interests / Relocation.

Recommended Posts

I've suggested this before but it might have been archived away.

The idea is to have a way to not completely destroy Point of Interests but preserve them for relocation/reconstruction.

ALONG the  bottom of the game screen we have build menus broken by categories.

Would like to see a Point of Interests category.  Where the menu options of things to build is initially empty.
But whenever you demolish a point of interest.   The POI goes into this menu.   with a counter at the top corner of the icon.

Example:   Demolishing a POI chair or light fixture.

The light fixture would then appear in the Point of Interest build menu with a "x1" to indicate you now have 1 of them to build.
If you demolish more in the future and not rebuild, you would see "x2"  etc.    Basically the concept is that these items appear as an inventory build box. The material could either be returned to you for storage or a special store container for Point of Interests.

Right now demolishing something completely destroys it and you can't rebuild.

Thank you for reading.

Maybe. Somethings might need balance though like the Brain chairs having cool downs and charges.  Could be cool down timer required upon construction so people can't rebuild new ones over and over to skip cool downs.  Or a shared cool down in case of critter morph o matics.   Dream machines not stacking buffs.   Unique point of interests makes it more interesting cuz searching for a second one is part of fun rather than infintiely build from blue print.

In case of star bound and terreria finding unique objects and blocks or decorations make it worth while to find and bring back to base to reconstruct.

I think it would be simpler idea if every demolished POI automatically unlocks its schematic in our furniture tab so we can build it without limits.

that could etiher bring huge balance issues or constraint Klei too much in future ideas

Obviously i mean just the decor objects that fit in furniture tab like tables, lockers etc not the brain chairs
