Hah. I am lucky that it's permanently cold and foggy where I live, I think I'd be utterly miserable if it were as hot as what I heard it is in some more inland places in the States.

I'm in Canada, and it's over 100 Fahrenheit... [100 Fahrenheit sounds better than 37.78 Celsius]

I'm in bay area California, about 10 minutes south of San Francisco. It's kind of nifty that the ocean is just a short walk away, but everything corrodes incredibly quickly because of the salt air. The permafog comes from the warm tropical pacific air evaporating the ocean and making clouds, then blowing here from the Westerly winds and sinking as they get cold. It's so humid most of the time that dew starts condensing in my beard when I walk home from college at night.

It's now +15 celsium. Kind of not the summer we expected, but still better than that hot one we had once... Foggy, hot summer, even worse than rainy cold one.

I also still have that Flele Wilson folder on my desktop!

[Wait... why do I have 2 Hamachi shortcuts?]

Flele Wilson forevah! 2 Hamachi shortcuts? Well, maybe you have them just in case... I'm also surprised by the lack of shortcuts on your desktop, as mine is full of them. Looks like a shortcut party or something XD

Not to mention, that's what I consider MESSY for my desktop, I mean, look at TEXtool and HLDJ just lying there! Not to mention, I also should be moving Hamachi somewhere else, given I don't use it too often, and maybe same with Audacity.[Oh god, you can also notice that I watch Northenrlion... I mean, not that it's a bad thing.][Ah! My bookmarks!]

Seems this has turned into a "show your desktop" discussion.Mine:post-57563-137645976687_thumb.jpgThough, this is on my weaker work machine. My gaming machine, RedMatter (which I built myself, details here) is in another town currently, but its desktop looks pretty identical to this.

Lol. *grins* It's my pride and joy, it pretty much dominates any game I throw at it, even though it's approaching two years old now. It's the most valuable object I own at >$2000 in parts. I might upgrade it soon.I also use its powerful processor for distributed scientific computing, such as analyzing raw radio telescope data for pulsars and quasars, and simulated protein chain folding to find cures for deadly diseases.

2 years old? Mine is 5 years old and I've never had a virus on it... Jinxed ma-sel' there

Eh, I don't have any problem with software. I just reformat the drives every 6 months or so anyway. I'm concerned with the hardware getting obsolete, I'd like to rebuild it with an Ivy Bridge based processor and motherboard, mostly for the better power efficiency so I can overclock it more and run the science faster. Right now the i7-950 outputs so much heat at 100% load that it warms my room up. Good thing it has liquid cooling! It'd also be nice to have a 600 or 700 series graphics card, but that's not a priority.I used to dual boot Windows and Linux on RedMatter, but the Linux partition was using too much disk space than what was justified based on how much it was being used, so I wiped both drives and RAID0'd them together. :p Edited by ThatBum

... I think Wilson likes it.

-img-... I think Wilson likes it.

Run it on the WCM. :chunky:(Seriously, you can do it too.)EDIT: Here's some high res images (#1, #2) of my case for Wilson to drool at some more. Kinda cheaty because it's not my machine, but I don't have a good camera, so... Edited by ThatBum

I... I don't understand any of that... I'm not a programmer... Yet.

You don't need to be a programmer to understand this, it's more the hardware engineering side of things, which is a whole different can of worms. I know barely anything about coding, but I'm good with my hands with fixing and building physical things.

Ah. My computer gets blue screens of death... It's weird, on some team fortress 2 maps it gets bsod's and on other maps it's fine, any idea why this is?
