Buff one-man band

Recommended Posts

One-man band is a magic tab item that have effect of making all possible to befriend creatures near you be your friends as long as you wear it, issue is fact that it lasts only for 3 minutes, maybe in og don't starve with enough followers 3 minutes is enough to kill some boss, but in dst bosses either have 10k+ hp and require at least a day to kill in solo or boss is too easy and isn't worth making one-man band for it.Currently because of how fast it breaks and cost it has it's really better to just give a mob food it wants instead of using one-man band.Yes of course it works great for farming crops but i don't really think it's intended way it was supposed to be used.

I have the controversial idea that the one-man band should be able to confuse boss minions. It would be worthwile just being able to neutralise them until the rest of the gang can take them out. Plus, it adds an optional combat role for people to consider. Plus plus, said role is lag-resistant.

It wasn't meant to be taken seriously in base game DS either, dev response from a similar thread in 2014

The one man band was kind of a joke item. I mean, just LOOK at that animation. Not everything in the game has a quantifiable gameplay purpose... some things are really just for fun and/or roleplaying.

Posting it just for clarity's sake.

It technically never had a serious use besides being "fun", so... I guess it really only goes against it's intended design if you aren't having fun.

That being said, a buff or change would be great. It having such a microscopic durability especially, or giving it something like what Mobbstah suggested.
