The Constant is, and likely has been, a chessboard for the game between Shadows and Celestials. The survivors are the pieces, biomes are tiles, etc. The reason for this board can be anything. It could be the latest and longest match over controlling a larger war. But, it can also be something as simple as the two sides are just having a chess match for the sake of it. Astraia Posted May 16, 2022 Share Posted May 16, 2022 The Constant is a wretched world filled with nasty creatures that all want to kill you and with survivors that are trying to thrive in it, maybe it could just be a battle between the darkness and the celestials (we don't know for sure) All survivors can die, but they can never die, if you know what I'm saying.
