Frosty_Mentos
I think this was mentioned before that there is a need to have more lategame content representation to the animations to showcase survivors getting better at living to a point that they're prospering. Maybe give some more different builds, showcase some use for the skins we'll be buying giving people some inspiration in building base designs or layouts. Might increase interest in picking up base building and people would invest more time in DST architecture? Despite survivors having to experience dread to be shown in animations I believe we should see them do better in terms of looks and armors they use. Maybe have some outpost they set up before either raiding ruins or doing their daily work to survive. Either with the newer content they'll actually bring marble armor or thulecite suit to face a boss. In general the DST 2021 trailer briefly showcased well of what the game has in store, but if really there's a lot and there's high potential to what Klei could show. Characters are showing more bravery now than ever, might as well pick up a dark sword or hambat and put them up into some combat. GrapeVruit
I'd honestly just want to see them have competent gear like weapons and armor. I think only times we see them like this are at the end of A New Reign Part 2 and the Nintendo Switch trailer. loopuleasa
My headcannon actually is that each skin the survivors have is a different parallel universe version of that character, and some of them (for example the shadow clothing skins) are the veteran players that know everything about the constant. I would like to have an animation at a round-table discussion between all characters in their most powerful version in the constant multiverse. Final boss versions of each char Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/139405-need-more-prospering-survivors-in-animations/#findComment-1560699 Share on other sites

I think the 2021 gameplay trailer made a pretty good job in showcasing cosmetics, skins, advanced features and nice builds where the survivors can be seen in fashion and equipped well ie. just look at those farms and moonstone area. I'd love to see them utilize more items, gears, customization, skins and intricate buildings in subsequent trailers too. DVGMedia
i think what the mantas means is like in the actual visual animations Majority of the time the survivors only have spears or a helmet or just nothing at all not even packs can see them in the animations attacking with axes Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/139405-need-more-prospering-survivors-in-animations/#findComment-1561339 Share on other sites

Final boss versions of each char Pretty sure that's what klei had in mind with most of the default skin sets that aren't winter's feast/hallowed nights etc related, most obvious case are the forge and gorge collections, the survivors adapted to both worlds, then survivor and triumphant skins, survivor skins being most likely versions of characters short after they have entered the constant (doesn't explain why wortox becomes green though) and triumphant skins being when the characters... well, prosper.
