You have to be right next to it to do pretty much ANYTHING on Console.. Did you know you can feed Merms to get them to stop punching you or if your a monster character pigs? You have to dodge their hit then feed them immediately afterward but it’s an actual game feature: one I didn’t even know exist- because if you can do it using an Xbox controller you are a master of button timing. On PC maybe you can be across the screen and just drag and drop food onto mobs to tame them, I'm not even on PC and I know that's not how it works. Quote (you really are playing a whole different game that would make crossplay between Pc and console painful) On Xbox however I’m already near my Beefalo when I want to feed it sticks, so jumping back on it before it shakes it’s saddle off??? Lol.. yeah I’m right beside it already bro. Easy… in fact: Too Easy. Which is why I’m against making this an intended feature. PC players can't just telekinesis things from across the map, you know. You have to be near the beefalo as he starts the shake animation. There's no time to walk up to him since the animation is so short. Everything I wrote until "I would like another way to raise beefalo domestication in spring than using beefalo hat to interact with beefalo though" is just advice and base for possible discussion, everything after that is not related to you comment. I never said that you have to tame beefalo in winter or summer, I just wanted to elaborate a bit on this seasons if you choose to do it then or if that happens accidently. I was actually trying to help you - if you would like to accept advice - to incorporate beefalo taming in different seasons into your shedule in case you are willing to modify it at some point. You can or can not take it into account, it's up to you. Obviously I can't know the extent of how tight your shedule is, but not having time to even pick some lightbulbs is exaggeration for sure. Do you use torches or come back to base often to change lantern/miner hat on fully charged? This is not efficient, by the way. Are you trying to tell me that you can't find sinkhole until winter or what? Nearly every biome has it, btw, except deserts and lunar ones. Another reason I wrote that reply is for 3rd parties: you wrote about beefalo taming in winter and summer as if it's absolutely not possible or such a horrible desicion one never should consider it. I disagree with this, therefore brought counter-arguements. And looking for atrium is very convenient time to tame beefalo due to all lightbulbs scattered across cave biomes. Also when I tame beefalo in summer or winter, I don't sit in place or pick lightbulbs on cooldown: I search for Klaus (map 2 or 3 biomes), farm tusks (how remote is triple mac tusk biome from other important biomes - if it even has spawned - has much more impact on your shedule than 1 minute to load into caves and back to reset beefalo timer to go in heat, by the way), I search for shadow pieces set piece; I clear ruins, I'm looking for atrium, eventually wall off monkeys while hammering thulecite walls in their biome, etc. I can assure you that my shedule is also very saturated and productive. And yes, I can and do all of this with untamed beefalo perfectly fine. Also you forgot that people can play on public servers when you don't necessarily join on day one, during 1st season or even 1st year. Even if we narrow view only to personal servers that are forever solo, still, one can prioritise different things than you. You can bring efficiency as much as you want, but can you tell why are you thinking killing bosses as fast as possible is definition of efficiency? Just because Guille/Third Porkus said so? Of course they will, they seem to enjoy it the most. Why do you think efficient=fast even, and not gain-per-resource-spent dependant, for example? Hence my point: if one enjoys something different, taming beefalo in summer may become more efficient according to this particular definition of efficiency/with this particular order of priorities for other things in mind. Anyway, I see you have some issues with maintaining reasonable discussion, at least with me, so I won't reply to you here.
