VouMorrer
Hello. So, currently we have a new hound called Varglet that appears during late game hound waves. My idea for the Varglet's drop would be its heart or eye or other part of his body (preferably something that spoils and/or edible so we would not have stacks of the thing everywhere without purpose), and with it we would craft a magic item, similar to the thulecite medallion that change its appearence, warning when the player is about to be raided by hounds, deerclops, bearger or deep worms. I have no idea if there is currently any way to predict hound or worms waves, besides the warning when they are already there. and for bearger and deerclops i lost track of the day they arrive after few seasons. Please share your thoughts, could this be solution for the "late game nuisance" that are hound waves? Capybara007
my idea: varg, not varglets, will drop a blueprint for a magic structure, this structure tells you how much time is left for the next hound wave however you can sacrifice "varg's theet" at this structure, if you give it enough theet it will force a hound wave to happen, and will reset the hound wave timer, this will make players purposely trigger a wave when they are gonna do important stuff like a boss, so they dont get interrupted and this is when varglets come into play: so you dont have to vargs forever, hoping for a varg on every hunt you do, varglets will also drop varg's theet what do you think? Clops can actually be tracked fairly consistently once you understand their timer (as it always spawns exactly 16.8 days in winter after you killed it) It can take some time to get used to, but it’s certainly doable. The other encounters, however, cannot really be dealt for in advance other then knowing the minimum-maximum amount of time they will attack at and/or the 30-120 second warning you get in advance, with the exception of bearger should you decide to keep it alive. I do think your idea is neat for sure, though! The tiny warning time you get can put you in really iffy spots that don’t really feel fun, so having at least a warning of the attack coming up to a day prior would be a super nice change and would allow you to plan better as well.
