What is with the pink haired duplicate?

Recommended Posts

This flashes briefly before then rendering the correct duplicate, while the name on the bottom is for the duplicate that is about to be rendered. I took a good twenty screenshots to get a few good ones, to show what I mean. Is this an upcoming cyberpunk duplicate?

I am trying out a new mod that someone recommended to me today. It is called DGSM - Duplicants Generation Settings Manager // by @Ony. Nearly every time that I select refresh, I see the pink haired one than the correct one.

Also, with DGSM, I was wanting certain duplicates, which is why this is helpful, but I am unable to find Meep and a couple of others. I wanted to get one of each, as I run them in five shifts, and am turning the whole asteroid into a zoo, for funsies. Bubbles and Meep are my favorite two, and they seem to be very difficult to find with this new tool. Anyhow, just some pointers would be appreciated.

I would call this a bug. When it comes to mods by @Ony, they are known to be made crude and sloppy and cause all kinds of problems. Yeah they are innovative and cool, but not worth the hassle at all. I used some of them, and got rid of all of them, because every damn problem i ran into i could break down to his/her mods.

Good to know. I will go back to loading the save until Meep, Bubbles, Joshua and the others of my Cool Dupe Club team are assembled.

I'm using "Refresh Immigrants" mod instead. Mostly because that's all I needed. @Ony mods are great but sometimes they are over-engineered. E.g. I have only one button to refresh all 4 panels rather than button above each of them - make no sense.

Use "Immigrants Reroll" to reload it

If you want to use both DGSM and Immigrants Reroll take my note. (I use both of them)

If you pressed "ALL REROLL" button, don't click "REROLL" button from DGSM mod you will get a crash when you selecting stuff, If you accidently press it, just close the blueprint panel and redo it.
Always chose dupe roll before pressing "REROLL" button from ONY and don't "REROLL" on the stuff that not dupe use "ALLREROLL" to find it instead.

Thank you both. I will try this other one, might be all that I need. I finally got Joshua, Gossman and Nikola was on one of those I took a picture of. My dream team of Dupes is only 2 short, Bubbles and Meep.

The pink hair dupe is just a default animation used by designers. Programmers will replace the hair/head/suit by codes. You can see all animations with dupes in data mining are all pink hair/suits. So no dupes should have pink hair unless you made a mod to replace it?

Btw, to me that looks more like magenta than pink. ;)

Good to know. Thank you for all of the feedback. I am having fun with the many mods this time. I am nearing 700 hours of play time, and still find many aspects fresh and enjoyable. I do wish there was more to the ranching system, as that is my favorite, silly as it is. My ranchers never seem to skill up though, and I feel that it I am overly invested in it in my builds. More than half my base is ranches. I have a morb, but sadly he is not ranch friendly.

Anyhow, back to it and thank you for the information.

the only way to skill ranching is to make them hug incubators, but since it's a very quick animation, the exp they get is almost negligible.

best way to tackle ranching is waiting the perfect dupes to show up: 10+ base skill and animal lover as a bonus :D

with ranching you can do pretty much everything there is to do in this game, perhaps just producing o2 is the only thing you can't actually do with pets (unless longhair slicksters produce it too, can't recall atm)... so i think you can even challenge yourself and make a fully ranched survival run and literally thrive without sweating too much :D
