That's quite an interesting mechanic, wasn't aware of that! Good way to concentrate radiation produced by sleeping beetas in a single tile. Just looking at it. It's "efficient" but a lot of space and design work for something you can achieve by other mean, albeit a resource cost (radiation lamps).
