So I’m playing a lot Wurt lately and it appears one of my Merms is actually glitched as in, it follows me everywhere I go as long as I do not transition to the Surface.
While I’m pretty sure this is Unintentional- it also got me to thinking about Real-Life Kingdoms, Kings/Queens/Princesses, Medieval times etc.. and during those periods of time a Leader always had a Follower a body guard to protect & serve them.

Now obviously having an entire KINGDOM of Merms stay loyal to her infinitely would be broken as heck.. but what if since she’s a Merm Queen/Princess trying to improve all of Merm Kind, Wurt was assigned an “Apprentice” One loyal Merm that once she built their shack stayed by her side indefinitely- exactly like this bug I’m experiencing where all other Merms return home.. but this ONE Merm stays with me.. it would Equally be cool if this Merm was given a unique look, like wearing a cape/crown to distinguish it from the rest of them

Personally I’m not seeing anything “Broken” about having one loyal follower, it saves Wurt tool durability chopping/mining- but it’s not a whole Army of Merms.

I’m pretty sure when this ONE special Merm Dies that the glitch will fix itself, but I felt it was unique enough to share the idea of having a new Merm build that can only be built ONCE that give Wurt a bodyguard, if this Merm dies- You can return to their building after a few days downtime and a new one will spawn to follow Wurt around loyally.

Im pretty sure this is a Bug and I have absolutely no idea how to replicate it, but it makes me want one permanently loyal follower.

TL:DR- Queens/Princesses of medieval times had a personal servant/bodyguard willing to die for them & having ONE Merm never lose loyalty when all others do would make playing Wurt feel more like shes an important part of a Mermy-Kingdom.
