Change the order of the Cookbook recipes on Default settings?

Since the Cookbook's addition, it listed Crockpot Recipes by their priorities on the Default setting, from highest to lowest. However, I don't think this makes sense, I think it should sort Crockpot recipes from lowest to highest instead.

I think this because, if you noticed, a lot of the high priority foods have much more specific recipes.
 

Amberosia, Mushy Cake, the Milk-made hat, Wobster Dinner and etc have specific and rar-ish recipes (collected dust, one of each mushroom, bat nose with kelp and dairy, butter with wobster)

While if you scroll down, you'll notice a lot more of the common recipes appear there.

Meatballs, Meaty Stew, Ratatouille, Fancy spiralled tubers for example are much more common recipes that will likely be some of the first recipes the player cooks.


Would it not make more sense to have the cookbook sort from lowest to highest priority recipes on Default setting? Generally in my opinion, the more common recipes should start at the top, and not at the bottom to fit progression, unlike how it is now.

That would makes perfect sense, no one would like crafting Tabs to be in the opposite way, order in term of accessibility matters a lot. This needs to be changed.

Honestly yeah, either that or just being able to sort it in different ways for yourself.

Would be cool to be able sort them by stats, effects and maybe spoil- or cooktime.
Although I guess for almost anything other than stats it'd make sense to have more detailed information so it is fully comprehensible.

Yes.

Suppose I should clarify in the main post I think it should be sorted from lowest-highest priority on default, thanks for reminding me of that.

Do people actually use the cookbook? I use the wiki for reference or the mod which predicts the outcome so I feel like this item is irrelevant..

 

Edit: As I think about it, some people prefer an entirely vanilla experience whilst some prefer to explore the game without googling stuff, which in that case, yes I would really love this feature to be added.

Not to mention that the cookbook still requires you to experiment and figure out the individual recipes by yourself, whilst looking it up on a wiki straight up tells you any information you need.

Obviously it's much better, i want to play Don't Starve, not Don't Wiki. This problem afflicted the game for too much time. The philosophy of not telling you anything doesn't and didn't work since start. Everyone, especially newcomers always always look for wiki or pick stupid mods that transform the experience into somethign strange, derailing from what really Don't Starve is. You can't understand how much the cookbook changed the game, it's a miracle. Klei should decide to start to give hints to the player, so they can figure out by themselves, not reading a long obscure process and anti-intuitive as reaching the first final boss of the game.

On the other part even the mod is not good for you, i would suggest you to remove it. It doesn't really teach you how to cook properly if you don't do mistakes. You'll always know what dish will come out ruining the experience of understanding the ingredients and experiment.
