Waynel
When you slaughter a pig in ds base game you will gain 8 hp once you killed it. So you won't suck anything out of a bleeding pig unless you deliver the coup de grace. But in dst it works differently, you will gain tiny bits of a similar amount of hp (7 or 8) from each hit. What do you think: is the dst leech mechanic better ?
Guille6785
I find the gradual leech necessary in DST due to higher health mobs like raid bosses, if it only happened on kill like in DS it might as well not exist at all
MostMerryTomcat
DST being multiplayer, almost always (of course, if playing with people - as intended by its very-nature) your kill will be "stolen" by another; hence what the-above chap wrote: most times there won't be any hp-leech for Wig if dependent on kills. BezKa
DS rewards winning, DST rewards fighting in the first place. For a player, DST mechanic is obviously better since it makes even surviving the fight more probable.
Waynel
yeah leech should be tied to fighting, not delivering the fatal blow. like why should you reap that big chunk of hp just because you finished off a merm that lost 99% of its hp to a tentacle ? It's unfair.
