Whitecold
The game helpfully provides you a notification when a building lacks resources. However, with infinitely recurring tasks, this is expected, meaning the dupes are keeping up with that task than showing a lack of resources. Once you have enough tasks, this also masks should a task really not have enough resources, because that notification is always up there anyway so you just ignore it. It would be nice to have an option to disable the notification for either specific resources, or infinite tasks.
SharraShimada
There is a mod out there "supress notifications". If you are comfortable with using mods. This one is a minor one, and it does no harm if you remove it later. The notifications will just come back then.

A common issue for me, it is far easier to schedule infinite food and lime production, than bother with scheduling precise amounts. But 'specific resources' sound like a better option: running out of grubfuit is a norm, running out of sucrose is not.
