Game Crash On Continue - Load Game

Sorry I tried to submit this in your bug system but all the bug submission field turned "Red Required" and I dont want to waste another 30 minutes on this

ONI - Spaced Out

The game started to crash on some mods, showing the mod list to and one item red to "disable" before I try a restart...  so I removed the one flagged... then tried to restart, then it would simply crash, showing the mod list again but with not one mod flagged... So I removed them all and now It crashes to the black hole screen...

It looks like it was related to the search filter/pinned items, one mod in particular creates new items, the *Fashionistic mod's minor's suit which one dup is wearing. and I know I had searched for it in the resource tree... Pretty sure the Clothing items is active in the pinned resource...

*Today that mod started to crash the game on game launch, before I can even select "Continue Game"

Long story short, even with all mod disabled, I cant continue or load the saved game

to you mean it crash the new game when you start from begging or it crash the saved game where you used mods? as i know mods can corrupt the save game

Games loaded fine for 2 weeks... No files work now. pretty sure mods don't retroactively corrupt the entire save set. I'm pretty confident the issue is with the try catch of the Pinned Resource Code

System.NullReferenceException, that means you are missing something what was there before, basically it happens when you disabled mod

soo what devs can todo about that when mod corrupts the save file? its too soon play with mods atm till DLC is in developed mode and actively change stuff 

yeah. Your understanding of corrupts save file and mine obviously diverge. a corrupt file is a file that is damaged. not a file that contains what was once legit and now is no more. That is why I logged this bug.

its not really legit for base game self. that's why it drown error like that. you should really contact at the mod maker about mod error tho or not use that at all and start from begging

You understand that it is a mod related bug, right? Are you playing in the stable branch? It seems that the mod was updated for the beta branch before that is released so if you absolutely have to play, if you opt for the testing branch, it will probably not crash anymore.

From mod's page: "Sorry everybody, I updated the mod for the beta branch of the DLC, I didn't realize that it would break the other versions of the mod. The beta branch will be integrated into the game in 6 or so days...once it does hopefully it'll stop crashing for everyone...

Yeah. the mod system for this game is way too finicky. And now that I know removing a mod from the mod list break the save file... that is what I'm really reporting here.

 

1 Had the mod

2 Played for 2 weeks

3 Saved and loaded games numerous times during that period

4 Mod creator messed up, mod crashes, game file was never saved with crashy mod, game file never loaded with crashy mod to even attempt a save with crashy mod data

5 Removed mod (Or I might have decided to not use this mod anymore, Like I did numerous times with other mods... That is the core reason for this report)

6 Files no longer load because a mod was removed. 

Other mods removal would simply turn the items in the game to biome tiles... I guess since this is a piece of clothing the game crashes... If the devs want to see why this particular mod removal crashed their game, it's up to them, I'm just reporting this.
