Kittymeowsical
So I’m wondering what are the various foods of oxygen not included equivalent to irl? They seem interesting, and while some are obvious, (mush bars) most are a mystery. Any ideas?
Saturnus
Meal lice (literally maggots). Yum. Bristle Blossom (or really artichoke). Bristle is a word rhyme on thistle. Artichoke is a thistle family plant.

At my local zoo they breed meal lice and give them to the monkeys as treats. When i worked there we would make them toys like a hollowed out piece of bamboo stuffed with straw and put the lice inside, and the capuchins would have to figure out how to fish the delicious mealies out somehow. It's probably one of those "don't knock it till you've tried it" things. 11 hours ago, Saturnus said: Bristle Blossom (or really artichoke). Wow that's neat! I always thought they were supposed to be modified thistles, never knew it was an actual real-life thing.

Kittymeowsical
Cool! I wonder if berry sludge is equivalent to a food, I mean it’s not jam, jam isn’t that nutritious. Is it like a fruitcake? And a frost bun/frost burger seem like the regular food but cold, however in their descriptions they seem like everlasting cold.
Yobbo
Sleet wheat might be related to winter wheat, a real wheat variety that's sown in autumn and requires freezing temperatures to grow. Nosh a.k.a. soy bean growing in rust biome:
