Suggestion about celestial orb

Recommended Posts

After defeating the new boss, players now can craft all celestial tab recipes using celestial orb which is basically a portable crafting station. This means you can bring some moon glass and orb in mainland and craft wherever you need the celestial tools. But you can't still bring the orb to underground, which is pretty sad. Celestial tools have a lot of potential when in underground. Such as killing nightmare creatures from the fissures, chopping down toadstool's mushroom trees, killing ancient fuelweaver... By crafting the required tools at the exact moment. You can do this if you can bring the orb underneath.

Also about the perspective of convenience, why not just let players access celestial crafting tab while the orb is in the inventory? It would be much more easy to do so rather than drop the orb and craft and pick it up every time you need to craft a new tool. You know, moon glass tools are not that durable in most situations.

Accually you can have it in caves - I've made an experiment with spawning Champion in caves and it (somehow) works.

Problem is you CAN'T spawn the champion without the celestial fissures which are located only on the lunar island.

I rethink that and true, we can't get the orb to caves, in order to build there the experiment to call in Champion.
But about your comment - you don't need fissures to spawn Champion - just need celestial triange (3 altars) to start the moonstorms in order to get blueprint and resources for expriment, but you can accually build it everywhere both outside the lunars and also in caves (at least in beta) - i checked it myself. Accually from mechanical not gameplay point of view you don't need any altar to spawn Champion (of cource with cheated blueprint and resources for experiment)

You can't start fight in caves without the orb, but on main land there is nothing stoping you from doing it.

I think a better, and more multiplayer-friendly option would be that the celestial champion drops blueprints for some (maybe all) celestial tab recipes, along with the celestial orb having all the recipes. It might be difficult for players on large servers to share the celestial orb, and it also gives more incentive for players to fight the celestial champion repeatedly.

What about allowing players to craft the altar items after craft one via activated celestial orb? Like prototype something via science machine, but this time it's activated celestial orb. Seems like multiplayer-friendly.

can't you bundle up the orb and bring it to the caves?

By the way, important items like eyebone and glommer's flower can't be bundled. Including the orb.
