As a Wigfrid main that loves tanking as much if not more than kiting (seriously, if you are swimming in resources anyway as Wigfrid then tanking saves you a TON of time and time is the most valuable resource in this game imo) I'll take the Club all day any day.

Don't most people build their Ancient Pseudoscience items with a Construction Amulet equipped? All my clubs are made with a construction amulet on so they cost half whereas I would never make a Dark Sword with part of a construction amulet because just the NM fuel and living logs are plentiful and easy to replace. Yes this means you have to factor in the cost of one use of a construction amulet but I still think this is relevant as I thought most people generally pay half price for Thul swords making them much more affordable and worthwhile.

If you are truly tanking a boss the tentacles are amazing, and hit more often than I feel people give them credit. I know they definitely put in work against AG, DF and Toad everytime I fight them. Also not sure why it was mentioned that they are terrible against Klaus? I have fought Klaus on many an occasion with Thul Clubs and if you are tanking the tentacles hit plenty (even if you do a combo of tank and kite to avoid spells etc the tentacles will still get him sometimes) and I've never had them kill a deer (not enough damage) or cause issues. I'm guessing its because when most people fight Klaus they try to kite and avoid every attack he makes meaning the tentacles are pretty much never going to hit him whereas I only dodge the spells and the jump attack.

Others have mentioned this but the skin for Thul Club is so good. It's one of my favourite skins in the game and I love smashing bosses with my oversized crazy buster sword.

The durability of the club is amazing and if you are using the durability song with Wigfrid it lasts even longer - seriously I've had one Club take out two bosses before back to back with the additional help from Volt Jelly and the durability song.

Then again having just received a simply stupid amount of free swords from a Shadow Pieces farm my opinion of Dark Swords may just change =D

Is terrible because the deers cast the spells on them (for whatever reason) so the arena gets fills with fire and ice spells
