minespatch
I'm a tad confused where to start. Do I need money for spriter? I would like to do this so I can stop asking people for gifs. MondayNight
You mean BrashMonkey's Spriter (Pro)? Also there's Spriter 2 Pre-Order on their dev's page. But something else may interest you as well, and that's a proverbial trench-coat guy in a back alley of the web asking you if wanting to "sail the high seas" for your desire. Yes, is about trackers and torrents Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/125775-ripping-dont-starve-animations-where-do-i-start/#findComment-1413772 Share on other sites
Cuikui
If you are looking to extract assets from the game, I advise you to follow this guide: How to extract animations from the game. It helped me a lot when I started. IronHunter
As somebody who owns spriter pro, you don't need it at all for making custom animations. It just has quality of life features such as bones. @Cuikui link is pretty much what most people use. Some animations don't decompile very presentably and may need to be cleaned up. Actually now I am wondering if klei is planning to add compiler support for some of spriter 2's impressive curve features, or if don't starve even can support that, because that looks really cool. Spriter is a software designed to open scml files which can be obtained using krane and ktools to decompile .anim, .build, and .tex files The animations you need to look for are in the cookbook_open state The .anim file can be found in player_action_reading.zip Edit: Spriter is intended to be a animation software, but the vast majority of modders use it as a preview tool for viewing scml files.
