Do you just have spots of empty land throughout ur megabse? When I hear Deerclops I teleport there and kill him. I like to have an undeveloped peninsula close to my main base area and when i hear her in the area i just jump there, wait till she spawns then i can just jump back if i don't want to fight then, he'll stay aggroed on the nearest structure, that end table in my case. It's also a very safe spot when i can keep him when i want to kill him in spring to reset his timer.
