Is their anyway to prevent get knocked off your beefalo from an attack (execpt for the battle saddle)

not really, i would need to double check but i think knockback protection such as battle helm or marble armor dismounts you  closer to the beefalo instead of outright knocking you away. Considering how powerful beefalo is though this is sort of fair enough especially after doing a beefalo focused run and seeing how powerful they can get, just an annoyance if you over-rely on them for combat

Why is this game overly complicated… what am I doing wrong NOW?! 😂 It took forever to drag these things here, are they not in the correct order or what? Plus I had to kill that horrible crab boss just to get one of these things. Help.bfd3fcaa-5120-4303-8e98-667e201e67fb.png.abc5aed9e84cb534cfec474a6de7eaf9.png

I figured it out, I had to look up a darn YouTube guide because Plain and simply Klei does not convey nearly enough In-Game information to the player to EVER figure things out on their own.. and now I’m proud/embarrassed to say that for as long as I’ve been playing DST I have finally managed to start Moonstorms for the first time ever. I’m pretty excited about it. But also … if I were helping develop this game I would simplify some of the complicated process.

Such as for example: If I disable the Crab King in world Gen settings, then the Celestial Tribute (or whatever it’s called) will just naturally spawn in the water where Crab King would have been and all you need to do is fish it out with a Winch.

It allows players to skip the “multiplayer focused raid bosses” while still enjoying the world/mob altering content.

But Now I’m just looking on wiki for whatever “Needs Seed” means, because that’s the ONLY clue the In-Game description gives to the player when you inspect the Mysterious Energy as Wormwood.

Okay so I went to the Moonstorm, I defended the Wagstaff I achieved Restrained Static, and have created the first stage of the “Incomplete Expirement” but again……

Klei does not provide no where NEAR enough in-game information for the player to EVER know what to do on their own without looking it up Online.

And I will provide one example I’m facing right now- The Incomplete Experiment can be crafted at my base, but when trying to place it at my base, it just fails to place it, there’s no Character quote (as Wigfrid) that tells me I can only place it on the Mysterious Energy I only know that because I looked it up Online.

Idk i feel like you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that you need the Incomplete Experiment on the big ass lunar energy that you opened moments before itScreenshot_2026-06-03-06-28-53-033-edit_com.android.chrome.jpg.37628987bf4f1142f8c043ab538741ea.jpg

Not really.. no. I had to look all this information up online to know how to do any of this. And the funny part? Klei can make it a bit more transparent instead of everything needing to be super obscure.

For example.. placing the 3 Alters in close triangular proximity to one another could give the player Visual or Audio Clues (such as a hum sound when carrying an alter part near an appropriate place to socket it, or better yet.. like with “Grid Placement” an actual On-Screen image of what to place & where.

As far as the Incomplete Experiment itself goes.. Lunar Siphonator or whatever you want to call it, adding some character quotes like “It Beckons to be placed Near the Alters” would give players an Idea of where they need to go to Build the structure.

some people might call that “Handholding” I would personally call it not having to have my friends sit through a bunch of YouTube or Twitch streams watching ads and irrelevant gameplay bits for hours to obtain the information they would need when Klei could very clearly make it more apparent through actual gameplay.

What is the purpose of the Scrappy/Nightmare Werepig??? Is it just another optional boss you can ignore?

Like for further clarification I recently killed Celestial Champion (yay right?) but in order to even Spawn the CC there is a laundry list of tasks you have to complete first a HUUGGGEEE Laundry list of tasks.

Now that I finally have Lunar Affinities Unlocked, I am now looking to Unlock Shadow Affinities but when I look for the Laundry List of tasks to spawn Ancient FuelWeaver there doesn’t appear to be that many steps..

Step 1- Kill some shadow chess pieces on the surface shard, obtain heart.
Step 2- go to caves mine for 8 FuelWeaver Bones & assemble those in the correct formation in Atrium biome place the heart FW. Step 3- Find and Kill Ancient Guardian obtain Key & place in Ancient Gateway to summon FW.

Comparing that to Celestial Champions Questline is a joke right??? Surely there’s more I need to do…

Nightmare werepig isn’t optional for the shadow rifts

That's pretty much it, though in my opinion, fuelweaver takes more battle prep than questline prep in comparison to CC. I can confidently do CC with hambat and a football helm, but, personally, I'm not fighting fuelweaver without a bee queen crown, a nightmare amulet and some sort of aoe, preferably a brightshade staff (so, for me, my skill issue makes the whole CC questline gate fuelweaver, unless I'm playing a character with aoe)

Either way, keep in mind the fuelweaver questline has been in the game for longer than the CC questline. I'm sure if it were to be implemented nowadays it'd have a few more steps.

Ancient guardian seems to not be attacking broken bishops, is that a bug?

i think it's because they have the same allegiance so they arent typically supposed to ever be able to target each other, im assuming you mean friendly broken bishops since the way mobs interact with friendly clockworks is a little strange.

I can’t be bothered with searching the whole internet to find this information so can someone tell me if Willow’s Lunar Affinity Flame Skill will work against the Shadow Piece Trio? I figure with you know the fire being Lunar Aligned and them being Shadows that it would.. but without mods and on screen damage numbers or health bars all I can do is sit and guess.

willow's flames will hit anything that she can hit normally, and in fact does increased damage against the shadow pieces

I tamed a broken bishop and a broken knight but ag only seems to not target the bishop even when it's hitting it
