Dragonfly keeps spawning more than 3 larvae waves

I just fought the Dragonfly recently. Normally, she spawns lavaes at 80%, 50% and 20% hp, which is a total of 3. But recently,I fought her and she went for a lavaes a total of 5+ times! This resulted in me loosing the fight while I should have won. Is there any way to avoid this bug?

You can’t avoid it, since it’s how DFly works.

When the final larve dies, DFly launches into trying to do 2 things: enraging, and spawning more larve. The thing is unless you somehow get her to enrage and below the HP threshold simultaneously she will never do both at once, and will seemingly pick either enraging or spawning more with a 50/50 shot. You can get unlucky and only have her spawn larve, or get lucky and have her only do all 3 enrages.

Its really annoying especially if you are doing the fight wall less, but unfortunately there’s no workaround as far as I’m aware. Just bring more prep for dealing with them and you should be good.

Yep it's a 50/50 chance

I know the lavae spawns can be a time sink for the fight, but on the plus side it's one less pan flute use wasted.
