Smithe37 Posted December 13, 2019 Share Posted December 13, 2019 I'm 2500 cycles in and haven't seen a shine bug egg or shine bug/nymph in the printer pod for at least 1000 cycles. Is this a bug? has anyone else experienced this? I just need a shine bug for the critter morphs achievement. suxkar Posted December 13, 2019 Share Posted December 13, 2019 Shine bug eggs do not have conditions on being spawned by the printing pod so you should eventually see one, but 2500 cycles is quite a lot. May be just (VERY) unlucky? I've always got them in my bases and do not know of any bugs related to it. After first hundred of cycles you have about 2% chance to get nymph and about 2% chance to get three eggs. So, it's about 75% per 100 cycles. In 1000 cycles you are almost guaranteed to get one or another. BUT it is still random chance. And somewhere there are 1 case in a million to not get any. Extremely unlucky situation is possible. Another thing. I read about this, so I cannot be sure. There may be limit on total amount of animals. Craigjw Posted December 13, 2019 Share Posted December 13, 2019 I had some shine bugs from the printing pod, however, this was about a month ago, so unless they've changed it since then, it should still work. My shine bug farm died about 500 cycles ago and I haven't had any since. Ironically, just after I rejected 2 consecutive batches of pacu's, no more than 10 cycles later, I lost my entire fish stock and haven't seen any since!
