You do just place it in a floor with, say, 1kg of Oxygen around and a way for the Oxygen to flow back down. This thing does pump gas upwards. Gas flow back not shown in my picture, there is basically an open room around and the top of this rec-room is all airflow-tiles as well. The surf-board does need a water input and it does splash some on the floor.
