Industrial diamond

Recommended Posts

Industrial diamonds would be really cool. A high pressure chamber could be used for creating those at high tech. It could also maybe forge other things, like obsydian from igneous rock or maybe marble from sedimantary and then marble would be mandatory for marble statues and minable on the map in the tidal biomes.

I'd like to add it would also be nice to have more uses for diamond than just heat transfer and as a glass substitute.  That would also make production of diamonds worth while.  More industries means more opportunities for puzzles to solve.

Maybe heavy watt bridges since diamond can be a semiconductor when doped with boron

If that's the case, could it be used as an excuse to make all heavii-conductive wire out of diamond?  Now that it's a 50 k wire, there's a legitimate reason to want to upgrade to it and have it be another step for industry.  Unfortunately, I don't think that's enough to exhaust the oil biome supply of diamond so you'd actually need to produce it yourself.

Drill bits are the only other practical use of diamonds I can think of, which doesn't fit the game anywhere.

There was a suggestion for a different type of geyser, similar to how the oil well works. Youd`d build a mining station over it and it would produce large amounts of a soild resource like slime or dirt or maybe even metal ore. Once a while it would require to drill deeper. Then it would need a diamond drill and a dupe creating it and putting into the machine.
