Lafara
i think keeping pocketed ice (150 kg -20 C) in ice maker cool its surrounding. while ice itself not raising any temperature nor using any power. meh Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/110652-unexpected-cooly-ice-maker/ Share on other sites

Anyone else seen this happening in their base? First thing I notice that ice inside didn't interact with the environment. Usually, building contents interact with the environment. Spoiler Once ice maker temperature reaches equilibrium with water under it, it stays. Still about one celcius difference with metal tile under it. Want to continue waiting, mathmanican? If that works then put the ice maker on doors and cycle open close. As for the door, I will lose my puddle of water. It is in a vacuum. For the record, I tried blinking the power, after that blinking automation port. Probably I should set everything to 20C, so I can modify without affecting the last temperature. But I think this ice storage is specially insulated, let someone else check from code. Gurgel
On an unrelated note, Ice Makers also do not overheat. They just eventually melt. In my only experiment with Steam Turbines so far (a horribly unstable and tedious mess), I used Ice Makers too keep the steam temperature up.
