Disable autorepair by default/mass disable autorepair

In vast majority of cases when things get damaged, the correct action is to let it stay damaged until it can be deconstructed and possibly replaced by something made of a material that will not get damaged.

Trying to repair an overheated battery is a waste of time and resources, but it's enabled by default. Meteor-damaged ladders do their job just fine. Zapped wires show that a circuit will keep overloading and so repairing it only delays the inevitable.

The number of cases when autorepair is desired or neutral is greatly outweighed by the number of cases when it's undesirable. Not as much as auto disinfect (this one has almost 0% of good cases), but still.

I would certainly prefer that repair is a manual request rather than the current system. Machines don't get damaged unless they're set up wrong. Fixing a damaged machine does nothing to change that, it'll keep breaking forever.

I object to your 'set up wrong' reasoning. For instance, if one builds a steel pump in lava to pump it to a tank for reasons. It can fill 1.5 tanks before needing repairs but dupes will happily feed 40kg of materials to it every time it ticks dmg.
