I have never used the oil well before, so I have been trying it out to see what to do and how it works. So I set it up with water and power going in and an excavated hole to dump the oil into everything was going fine it was pumping oil so I left it to go and do something else. When I come to see how it is doing I find that the area is now full of natural gas, there is no mention of natural gas in any of the descriptions on the oil well, they all just say it requires water, power and produces oil using the water which is lost in the process.

I now have a large area that has filled up with natural gas that I am going to have to remove somehow, it has totally ruined a slickster farm as it now has a layer of natural gas between the carbon dioxide and the slicksters. The thing is if I had known about the natural gas I could easily have prevented this from happening. it's also every nook and cranny that has filled up with natural gas, just because it is not mentioned that the oil well produces natural gas in it's description, how can you miss something as simple and important as this out especially this close to leaving early access.

Occasionally while mining, there will be a gas buildup.  The building doesn't produce natural gas.. but the oil mining process does.  When the gas is built up, the oil well shuts down until a dupe runs down and turns the wheel to let out the pressure.  Once the gas is released, the building returns to its normal operation.

Its been that way since the oil well was brought into the game.  I suppose all of us long-time players have forgotten that it isn't obvious that this happens.  ... Um... Surprise!  Free Natural Gas!
