dearmad
So, does the PO2 off gas from Polluted water forever? Meaning it's a permanent unpowered source of O2 if one can come up with a permanent source of sand to clean it? If you have unlimited amount of polluted water, you have unlimited amount of PO2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/108158-does-p-water-produce-po2-forever/#findComment-1216577 Share on other sites
dearmad
So it's not actually just "dirtying" the O2 around it? Which is what I thought it was doing all this time and why I struggled to deal with it!? So is It *creating* new O2 or is it *converting* itself into O2? So, if you put, say, some slime or polluted dirt and let it off-gas, it will slowly converts into PO2. You may think about it, as about "evaporation". It's creating new PO2 and loose appropriate amount of mass Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/108158-does-p-water-produce-po2-forever/#findComment-1216581 Share on other sites
dearmad
Thank you that explanation. I noticed this about slime before, and oxylite for certain, but never realized this about Pwater Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/108158-does-p-water-produce-po2-forever/#findComment-1216594 Share on other sites

bobucles
Several types of material will transform into a gas, otherwise known as offgassing. The material loses its own mass while creating an equal amount of the new gas: - Bleach stone turns into chlorine - Polluted Dirt, Polluted Water, Slime turn into Polluted Oxygen The transformation can be prevented by submerging the material (such as dunking the storage in liquid), or by having too much gas pressure for the material to transform.
