Can you explain a little more ? well, maybe not a button, but a new asteroid called "random asteroid": when you choose this asteroid, it will choose a random for you when you generate your world. this is to help people who cant decide which asteroid they want to play on. its kinda like the random character in dont starve together. If so, you should have flag your post. it is a suggestion. my suggestion is that they add a "random asteroid type". because, currently there is asteroid types in the launch beta. but some people (including me) cant decide which asteroid type to use. so if there was an asteroid type that instead of being its own asteroid type, chooses a random when generating the world. so if you use the random asteroid type, you dont know which asteroid type will generate. I`m not sure if i would use it as different ones have different difficulty levels so it would be like "select random difficulty". I would see it this way: It randomises everything, meaning the main asteroid but also the biomes and sub-biomes, because I believe in some asteroid, some biomes or resources are omitted or not present at all. So basically the randomiser will truly randomised everything in which you will find any biome in any asteroid type.
