Promethien
I've been assuming I need to keep all my critters groomed for them to keep laying eggs. However while browsing oni-db if you set the glum option it decreases their calorie consumption but not their egg laying rate. Is that accurate? Can I keep glum critters that eat less and don't need the grooming labor but still provide the same amount of eggs? Yes, I know they wouldn't provide as much of their consumption byproduct but when I don't need as much coal it seems like I could keep a stable of low labor ungroomed hatches that give me 2,000 kcal eggs every 6 cycles per hatch. Neotuck
You can find out yourself by checking the repoduction rate and see if it's faster with or without glum Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/107901-question-about-ranching/#findComment-1213820 Share on other sites
Prince Mandor
No. Glum creatures have about same egg laying speed as wild creatures Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/107901-question-about-ranching/#findComment-1213821 Share on other sites

Thanks. 4 minutes ago, Prince Mandor said: No. Gloom creatures have about same egg laying speed as wild creatures Thank you for the direct answer. Saved me having to do the experiment. This answer is only good until next patch, because you never know what exactly will be changed. Neotuck's answer is way more universal. Just move mouse to Glum status in critter info and read it's effects in tooltip. Or any other status Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/107901-question-about-ranching/#findComment-1213826 Share on other sites
