Memento Mori
I am relatively new to the game (we're talking I've never gotten past the first few basic research things) and I'm currently starting a promising colony, but despite none of them having anything to do, and me setting building up some ladders and mining out copper for batteries at 9, they still will stand still with nothing to do. Is this a regular issue? (Note when I say all stand still, I mean the ones who aren't busy researching, generating power, or making food)
Gwido
You should link your save, so we can take a look. Also beware to the forum. Here's for suggestion.
Sasza22
Just post a screenshot. Maybe the issue is them not being able reach the task. With noe personal priority set something at prio 9 should be done first whenever a dupe is free. If they aren`t digging the copper my guess is they can`t reach it. Try clicking a dupe and clickng "show navigation" to see where they can go.
SharraShimada
Can they reach the areas you want them to go? Dupes can always just climb tiles high, and jump a gap of 1 tile. Everything else is considered unreachable, and therefore ignored. You can check, if your dupes can reach a certain area. Choose one tile, mark is as dig-job. If its white, its okay. If its grey-isch, the dig job is applied, but not reachable. Then check the path.
