Hamlet is finally completed. This survey is used to gather the opinions of the community on this DLC, feel free to express your opinion and deepen it with a comment below.

I hope that Klei does not ignore it and takes note of the results, whatever they will be.

If I could I would refund my copy of Hamlet in protest. You've all probably seen already but I am very disappointed and I did not pay more money for less content.

"The price of Hamlet is going to be $6.99. We feel the amount of content that Hamlet has is worth a slightly higher price; we hope you agree!"

That quote is from the October 29th update when closed beta ended.

hamlet feels complete yet at the same times doesn't feel very alive, the jungle is the same for every season the enemies(besides rabid beetles or aporkalypse) are the same every season, the iron hulk is cool but doesn't interact during the world at all or change during the season where all of its parts are activated, or even react to the herald it focuses more on the player than any other enemy, klei has been adding and adding instead of polishing whats already there hamlet felt pretty complete back in the beta more than now, even though theres way more stuff now.

spoiler so my suggestions don't take up the entire page

Spoiler

the main things that I wish had some things added to them would be

Jungle stuff

-humid enemies like spider apes and snaptooths would sleep to hide from rabid beetles

-during lush plant life would regrow and you would see much more vine foliage and  snap tooth babies should appear rabid beetles could be   eaten by snaptooths instantly to slowly kill them off instead of instantly

-then during temperate some snaptooths would die off to decrease the population creating a cycle.

Aporkalypse.

it feels dead it doesn't feel very threatening heralds, don't care about you mants are just kinda annoying and bats are unfair. The iron hulk the giant robot that seems like it was designed to fish against the aporkalypse does nothing new the parts don't even try to fuse they just kill stuff for no reason.

-iron hulk parts will try to fuse somewhere on the map

-if hulk is fused it will start roaming around the map doing various actions

-heralds will be hunted by the fused hulk

-heralds should be more aggressive and not be slower than a sloth that just uses enemy spam to kill the player

-give the herald a ranged attack so they can kill fleeing players

-bats shouldn't exist kinda like the bfb flying away instantly during aporkalyse

-any kind of hint that the only way to stop the aporkalyse is on a different island

-mants wont chase the player endlessly they will only do it if the player goes on their territory and will do this to every enemy

-a bigger boss like the herald thats more of a melee tank than a summoner

-make the aporkalyse get harder the more heralds that die(more of a reason you would want to stop the hulk)

-random lightning/lightning effects shaking effects would help with the world is ending vibe(not real lightning)

-make the heralds do more than roam and kill stuff

-way more rewards than a crappy cape

like gems or world hopping?

changes like these would help the aporkalypse feel more active and threatening while also more fun.

These are really just a small list of suggestions I've already made in the past but I thought I would put them here just to show what could be added or done to improve hamlet, otherwise I really like hamlet its fun and really different from the base game, the dlc has a lot of promise which is why I'm disappointed its getting cut short.

This is not a good poll. The options should be very broad, and it should be encouraged to reply with more detailed opinions. The options on the poll should not be so opinionated.

This assumes that if I didn't enjoy the development of Hamlet, it has to be because of their "false promises", "sudden program changes", and "completely ignoring many user requests". There's no room for my own opinions here, because you've already chosen your opinions for me.

I understand your criticism but the question wanted to focus on how Klei interacted with the community during development, and not on the development of the title as such. If you want to deepen other aspects not covered in the survey you can always write them below in the comments or make a specific topic.

When Warbucks was removed hamlet became 100% less epic for me, when Wheeler was added it became 20% cooler.

All in all it adds neat new things like houses, jungles, and stuff, but I'm not happy with the oofs Klei did so 7.8/10 not enough Warbucks.

in my opinion awful

its hard to not reset the world after a year

no telepotato

lack of seasons that were told we were getting

no variety in the loots or places you see

they say that they don't go through well when constrained by a date then they constrain them self with a date...

look how well that turned out
