What about some really crazy things that are useful as well. Miniature black hole - A contained black hole that can serve as an infinite storage of anything. The hole is contained but it will still suck the gas or liquid from the room it`s inside. The building should be 2x3 and have liquid and gas outputs (working like those from the reservoirs so you don`t have to connect them for it to work but if connected it outputs the gas and liquid through them). The basic idea of usage is to make an infinite storage of gas or liquid on a small space without exploits. Could also store solids working like a compactor. Programmable matter - Imagine a tile that can become any other type of tile dynamically. Simple concept; you build a wall and connect automation to a part of it. When set to active the connected section opens allowing dupes, gas and liquid to pass. More complex; a controlling device that can change the properties of programmable tiles in range. Can be set to airflow, mesh, transparent, ladder, insulated, open. Directly connecting with automation overrides the controller but only has an open/close option. Imagine what could be done with this thing. Probably should require power to operate to be balanced. Teleportation - A small teleport machine that can beam a dupe anywhere on them map (talk about a pathing nightmare). Maybe should require a "landing zone" you can build to avoid dupe sgetting stuck in random places. Works one way but can teleport between teleports as well. Requires space materials and takes more power than transport tubes. Each teleport needs 20s to recharge the quantum particles before the next dupe can be ported. Cryotech - Whenever you want to preserve a critter morph without feeding it and taking care of it, freeze it. Got too many dupes to maintain freeze some. Wake them up when they are needed.
