Summer food: Froggie Bunwiches & MeatballsWinter Food: Mostly Meatballs and trying to use up leftover frogs and fish. Eggplant on reserve. When you're hurting: Fish Sticks, Honey Nuggets, and Honey HamWhen Abigail visits for the 10th night in a row and you still don't have a winter coat? Berry Taffy! Now that I know how to kill Gobblers, I may look into some turkey dinners. ^.^

I'm pretty sure that FishSticks heal a lot. As I type this I'm on the wikia and:it says it heals you by 40. You don't need a lot to make it. Just a fish, a twig, and 2 monster meat. Good thing I live near a pond.

I think that combination would result to a monster lasagna. Fish, twig, monster meat, berry/carrot.

Doesn't two monster meat automatically turn it into monster lasagna?

I never make fishsticks, so i could be wrong..

I checked the Wikia, and it doesn't. Unless fish is bugged which I'm pretty sure it is.Here's the Wikia link for Fishsticks so we don't get into a big argument.http://dont-starve-game.wikia.com/wiki/Fishsticks Edited by Hitscan
Left the quote out. lol

I'm probably late to the party, but my strategy that has netted me pretty much infinite food:I have two iceboxes. One for veggies/raw stuff, one for cooked/jerky. I have 6 jerky racks. Jerky lasts FORTY DAYS in the icebox and 20 in your pocket, and boosts health sanity and hunger. I use the crockpot for sanitising all of the monster meat into meaty stews and honey hams. Sometimes to make taffy if i'm purposely going insane, but I usually prefer a tent.

It's just a pity that fish and frogs legs spoil so quickly. They're a good summer food, but come winter, you're going to be relying heavily on berry foraging, bunny strangling, and koalephant/beefalo hunting. You'd need 6+ drying racks just to save most of the stock or get stuck eating tons of bunwiches (they travel well) and fishsticks before winter is halfway over.If you managed to scoop enough poo, you may, at best, be able to have fruits and vegetables stockpiled, but even these spoil rapidly in an icebox in winter. Berries are almost impossible to maintain without splitting fresh/old stacks so your new harvests don't go bad.

I think meatballs are 80% of my diet in the game - one portion will give you 60+ hunger, which almost gets you through a full day. It'll probably get nerfed someday because it makes things pretty easy on the hunger front.

Maybe, but they'll also have to make most of the other recipes like ratatouille more effective than their components cooked and eaten individually. Otherwise, the crockpot is useless and you just as well be eating jerky the whole game. You won't survive winter as a vegan. Edited by Zourin
