I think we are going to get some challenging new content.

For me the difficulty of this game kept me playing - the more I died the more days I wanted  to survive :D , I wanted to survive until I deal with everything the game throws at me.

And the "unknown" feeling of it like - the first time I had a frog rain or the first time worms attacked me into the caves, random stuff like that really shake up the gameplay and make the player a bit tense because they don't know what and when it will happen. Or when I didn't know around what time the seasons change. So I stockpiled food as soon as I can and stayed in the camp when I saw the leafs fall.

That's one of the things I want the most more randomized stuff - for example now winter starts around day 21 , I want it to start around day 17-23 so you don't know exactly when it starts. Thou granted it will make the game more difficult (but more unpredictable and for me more interesting). It will effect balance in 2 ways - 1 worse for players if it starts early but at the other hand 2.it could be better for the player if it starts late.

 

Thou now I deal with everything easy and when the new content is not mandatory to survive(I just don't need to survive it, or when I go to beat it I get like 10 revival stuff so my world doesn't wipe), this makes the survival part a bit dull (at least for me). Thou I do undearsteand why. For me it will be the best if they add 200-300-400 days + content(and so I hope) I don't want to sound rude but this will give enough time for new players to learn and beat it and if they don't like it they can disable it. For me DS at it's core is a survival game and you need to survive challenges to go foward. At least that's how I see it and how I want it.
