goatt
I just launched my first rocket, with 2 research modules, and it came back. Then I try to research new rocket parts, and the thing said lack of data bank. So...... help me xD, where is my data bank Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/103612-help-how-to-check-my-data-bank-balance/ Share on other sites
suicide commando
When you send a rocket to another planet, you can install up to 5 research modules there, each time you install one, with a research module, you get 50 databanks. Each databank = 1 research point in celestial research I believe. Note, that you can take as many trips there as you want to install said modules, 1 trip with 5 research modules onboard is the most efficient obviously, but you can theoreticly send a rocket with 1 module 5 times for instance as well. Either way, a planet will only yield 50 banks once per module. yoakenashi
59 minutes ago, KittenIsAGeek said: Did you have research modules? Has your rocket returned? @goatt Assuming these are true, then check your resource list under “Industrial Ingredient”. This is where the Data Banks are listed. The data banks themselves drop from the bottom center of the research modules once the rocket lands. There is a small chance they can get buried in regolith if you still have any regolith under your rocket. Edit: Meteors can also knock the data banks around a little they may not be directly under the center of the rocket anymore End edit Also, if you have a virtual planetarium already built, then a duplicant may have already loaded them into that building. They act like a consumable resource (like clay in a kiln). If you select the planetarium, you may find them under Status > Contents. If you still cannot find them, upload your save and we can all play Where’s Waldo Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/103612-help-how-to-check-my-data-bank-balance/#findComment-1162952 Share on other sites
goatt
@yoakenashi thank you, very helpful. I’ll check them Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/103612-help-how-to-check-my-data-bank-balance/#findComment-1162994 Share on other sites
Sasza22
There is one annoying thing about the data banks is that the research uses parts of them and this sometimes leads to rounding errors. Last time i got 399/400 research after using all beacause of that.
