Steam Turbine change.

Recommended Posts

It definetly needs some attention. As for now it is balanced the way so it`s impossible to create a perpetum mobile. In theory ofc, some bugs still enable it.

Generally the turbine is a nice concept as a machine that takes the high pressure hot steam from beneath and creates power, but without proper thermodynamics there is no easy way to condense the steam above. IMO it would be best if the turbine had a liquid output.

Its rather simple... The pressure below has to be 3kg higher than above.

Example: Below 15kg, above 12kg = good. Below 15kg, above 16kg = blocked.

The steam below has to be at least 227°C. Below this value, its considered too cold. Above works fine.

Keep the inputs free (so no building direktly below the turbine itselt).

Thats it.

And for condensing, i build a gas chamber above the turbine. Roof over the turbine is made from airflow-tiles. Directly on this tiles, there are 3 liquid pumps. They remove condesated water from the airflow-tiles. Cooling the steam inside this chamber can be done in various ways.

I saw few tutorials that said that the steam turbine must be sorrunded by steam, i will change my setup only using the steam from below.

I enclose the turbine left and right, and it works fine. Steam above is normal, because there it goes. Steam below is normal, because thats where its fed from. But surrounded would be new to me.
