cpy
I've been getting BSOD with 306670, anyone else have this problem or should I start checking my RAM? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/102487-qol2-bsod/ Share on other sites
SharraShimada
First, roll back to stable version, and try again. If this solves your problem, its either a problem with ONI, or your hardware cant handle the load anymore. For example pathfinding is now multihtreaded. This may cause problems with low end CPUs. If a rollback wont solve the problem, its a good idea to test your hardware. Cairath
No bsods at all (things being too new sometimes can cause an issue too tho :P) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/102487-qol2-bsod/#findComment-1150778 Share on other sites

You havent prodived that information, so i assumed it could be an issue. What about that rollback to stable release? cpy
I'm pretty sure it's not ONI related since noone else is having them. Problem is they are so friggin random. shanemadden
For what it's worth, the bluescreens I'd been plagued with on similar hardware over the last couple months were solved by updating the intel turboboost driver. cpy
I had modloader and mod folder still in it. Will delete them today. My BSOD error codes resulted searching google and it pointed to either RAM or GPU Drivers. So inconclusive. Really turboboost driver? There is even such thing? Cairath
As someone who uses 40+ mods... maybe you didnt update yours and it caused a problem? Idk. BSODs are mostly drivers or some hardware problem Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/102487-qol2-bsod/#findComment-1150949 Share on other sites
cpy
Got another BSOD today, with code that I understand. Finally some non BS code. Looks like I'm pushing CPU too hard with my OC. Funny how only ONI seems to be tickling it just the right way. I guess I have core ramping up too steep for my low voltage. Lowered it a bit. goochmyster
Yea it was really weird. I deleted the modloader.dll thinking it would just ignore the Mod folder then. After i got the BSOD with clipsp.sys as a code a few times I thought to delete the entire Mod folder. Later after I had tried the Q2 some I tried to reinstall the mods, then the program itself failed as soon as it loaded. No BSOD though. I then went through the mods and deleted the logs from before, then tried to start with just a few mods and work my way down. No luck at all Could you please post on here and let us know when you have finalized the mods for Q2. Thanks ahead!! SharraShimada
Theres no funny thing at all. ONI relys mostly on one one core. Yes, the build some multihreading recently, but most of the game is singlecore-code. So your one core is on real heavy load, going to the real limit. And if you OC an CPU like yours, that is already build above standard specs for this generation... In other games, this wont be an issue at all. cpy
After lowering boost core-ratio ramp things seems NOT to be crashing. Overclocking and undervolting best combo.
