My giant idea (BFB, ruins, lore)

Recommended Posts

This is less of a suggestion and more of a "look what I made instead of studying" thingy so that's why it's here.

My idea on how BFB could be a boss and other stuff related to it.

BFB appears as normal and acts normal. If you carry ice staff you'll get the option to attack its head  (and only head). After 5-7 attack it actually freezes. Its legs start stomping in anger and it's shaking its head (since neck not frozen).

After it breaks free it'd screach really loud. It's very angry. You can now fight with it.

How the fight would look: (you can't sleep it and freezing works like above)

BFB tries to smash you with it's head (like with structures but maybe a little bit faster). If you don't use speed boosts ur dead. You are able to attack its legs but it seems impossible since BFB moves after u.

After it tries to smash you 5 times it'd get dizzy/tired. It won't move and you can now attack it's legs. As you get close, those creatures that live in BFB's legs would come out and try to bite you (either tank or kite).

After let's say 600 dmg to either leg, BFB would loose its balance and the head would hit the ground and go uncountinous. Only the 1st head tho. As you try to attack the head (cuz you'd be able to) inner heads would come out and try to attack you. Some time passes and BFB wakes up.

The process repeats couple of times untill you finally kill it.

BFB releases a terrible screetch and flies away. But it shadow would just start getting smaller (as it's going up) and then growing bigger with screetching becoming louder. BFB crashes into the ground, where the player killed it, destroying everything (structures, plants, mobs, turf etc. (not uproots, cuts or drops half the materials- actually delete)). It'd be such a big thing (pun unintended) you could actually make it like the "cutscene" durring fuelweaver's death.

It body now named "dead BFB" lies there not dissappearing, blocking the player. If you get trapped then that's on you. After 3 days it'd finally disappear, leaving no loot. Place where it crushed would be filled with sinkholes etc. that player can mine and dig to get some stuff (rocks, gems, moleworms, trinckets etc).

1 sinkhole would actually open an entrance to some ruins. They'd be like no other ruins. Pictures wouldn't be "Oh look simple pig dancing" kind of pictures but actually showing pigs' true history. Maybe some sacrefices to gods or some murals in ancient language. You'd find some new creatures like shadow pigs or something. These ruins would be just disturbing (as much as ds can of course). As you explore more of them some lore would be revealed. Like idk pictures of ancient pigs waving goodbye as  (original) Ancients are going to the caves. Or something like that.

Now some clearing up.

If you go durring fight anywhere where BFB normally leaves you alone it'd also leave.

If you try to use bird whistle after killing BFB ur character would say something like this: "I don't think that thing is coming anytime soon" "GIANT BIRD RADAR READINGS: ZERO" "It appears that was the last of it's kind" "It seems I succesfully made its species extinct"

These special ruins would have some new creatures in them, new things, new traps but I didn't think about that yet.

The prize for killing it would be the lore. Or I guess these ruins could have some op item in them.

I think it would need a little more variety like stomps with shock waves and maybe an attack where it flies into the air and attacks the player, and a arena and it would be a great end game superboss which rewards you with a new area, and for the bfb to leave you alone also maybe Klei could add on the to the "I hear anyone surviving a one on one with the Roc gets pretty famous.

You had me here -- I haven't even read the rest of your post (yet).  I laughed out loud, 'cuz this is what I'm doing instead of before studying, too.

and, enough of that -- on to studying.
