biopon Posted January 5, 2019 Share Posted January 5, 2019 You don't actually need to feed fish continuously. Once you have a full "ranch", i.e. one fish per 8 water tile, stop feeding them. They will go glum, which gives them a -80% metabolism debuff, which means they burn less total calories than they're born with until they die on cycle 25. Glum does not affect their reproduction speed, which resets to base 7% when they're not happy anymore, so every fish will lay one egg before it dies. This basically means free eggshells and meat in perpetuity, for an initial investment of some algae.
