Straw Hat with Dapperness added to all but Wilson (he has to EARN it!)

NOTE: Completely delete this mod's Start Inventory directory first!

Description:

You know you get tired of recreating the standard items you've already created a hundred times every time you start a new game.

-- give non-new characters standard starter inventory:

-- Example inventory (varies):

-- "axe"

-- "pickaxe"

-- "shovel"

-- "spear"

-- "torch"

-- "Strawhat" with Dapperness!

-- "backpack_blueprint"

-- Wilson only get a backpack blueprint. He's the starting character after all.

-- Everyone else get's builder.bonus_tech_level 1 that unlocks all beginning recipes.

-- Wickerbottom gets builder.bonus_tech_level 2

-- Wes and Waxwell get builder.bonus_tech_level 3, which unlocks everything.

Also, in the modmain.lua file you can give your peeps whatever you want to start (don't cheat too much, haha)

Install:

Double-click downloaded ZIP file and DRAG enclosed directory into your dontstarve/mods directory.

Start game and enable mod on the mods screen.

-- When you run the game you should see a screen pop up that lists this mod as being loaded.

-- enjoy!

would it be possible to edit the starting items?

 

EDIT: I didn't catch the "Also, in the modmain.lua file you can give your peeps whatever you want to start (don't cheat too much, haha)" part

Hum,It's me or every people have the same items. You must re-organize items for each character.

In my opinion,I will do that:

Wilson:Razor

Willow:Fire Staff

Wolfgang:Top hat

Wendy:backpack

wx78:5 Gears

wickerbottom:cane

wes:Boomerang

waxwell:5 Nightmare Fuel

Woodie:backpack

why don't you give the complete list of the items that you can get with this mod???

For the record, you can use the prefab names from Don't Starve wiki (e.g. spear blueprint is "spear_blueprint") to customise the starting items.

is this mod still on? I mean.. there's a bug, when I start the game, it's perfectly run but why should I bring a gnome?

can anyone fix this? Thanks

You can fix that bug, or at least for me, by opening the modmain.lua and then deleting the trinket_4 and nothing else.
