  1. Note the white line in the picture. I've encountered this at least three times. There are no obstructions, yet the dupes will not path past a certain point in the water. They were previously able to walk all the way to the edge (they built pipes over there), and seemingly nothing about the area has changed since then. Manually moving a dupe to that area will fix the pathing issue, but only for that specific dupe.
  2. The water physics engine needs a touch up. I had a massive natural reservoir of contaminated water. I created a reservoir closer to my base, and wanted to use gravity to allow the water to flow into it. The water had to flow down several slopes and along small segments of flat ground. The result was ankle-deep water on each flat surface. What should have been too much water for my reservoir to contain, ended up being not even enough to submerge a pump.
  3. When you create a pipe or something of that nature, you have an option to select the material you use to build it. It defaults to obsidian, but sandstone can be used as well. I just discovered this today In the future, I'd say list something like this as a suggestion, not a bug.
  4. I'm having a lot of trouble understanding why ghosts were given the ability to troll. Perhaps the only thing stopping a troll (aside from admin bans) is death. But even in death, they can purposely burn down things, rot food in your crock pot, etc. I think haunting should just have teamwork-oriented effects, rather than "rez me or I burn your base" type abilities. I was having a great survival game where myself and a few other random people were working together on a map. Then 2 webbers came in, ate all our food, stole our supplies, dropped spiders in camp, and then suicided to beefalo. I thought the nightmare was over, but then they proceeded to destroy our base and food as ghosts. Please do tell me what the point in facilitating malicious behaviour is.
  5. If you have nothing to do but wait, go do something else, lol! Spamming the thread with nonsense is just going to give ALL of us more to read. Let's help each other out and wait in silence, eh? Just a suggestion for you guys. I'm not a regular forum-goer and probably won't be back here again anyways
  6. One of the edited posts was my own, and as y'all know, I don't even have the ability to edit posts yet. Ok now I can edit! 5 posts, yay I posted my last summary post after the puzzle was solved though, so the red text was definitely after we "solved" it. Btw I decided not to read pages 41-56, so I hope there was nothing important there!
  7. Guys, I don't think this is done yet. Someone is going around editing posts with big bold underlined red lettering, linking to this post. Also to note people who are skeptical about new users posting valuable information: I specifically created an account here because this interested me so much, and I'm sure others did as well. We aren't all disguised DS developers
  8. 2) We've determined that the notes collected in game contain coordinates, which we mapped out on this map. 3) The bottom left corner of that map contains an image of a note with the number "17" and the comment "stupid birds!". The birds drop the notes in game. So, there are a total of 17 notes. We have found 16 so far. 1 (-16, 16) 2 (-22, 9) 3 ( 10,-16) 4 (-11,-4) 5 ( 6, 2) 7 ( -4, -8) 8 (20, -2) 10 (-13,8) 20(-22, 1) 30(-10,-16) 40( 16,-2) 50( 13,-7) 60( 6, -23) 100(-14,16) 300(-6, 13) 400(-18,6) 4) The first number on each note corresponds to a Greek letter, as per this chart. We assume that 70, 80, 90, and 500+ are not used. Vau, or 6, is an obsolete character. So, the last note is either 9 or 200. Someone discounted 200, but I'm not sure why, as sigma is still in use. 5) When the coordinates are plotted on the map, we get the following formula: 5 silk, 7 rocks, 4 berries. Through extrapolation, we determined the final note leads us to an 8th rock (17 total items). Putting the completed formula into the Forgotten Knowledge page leads us to part 2. 6) In viewing the source code for the "part 2 page", we find that the 2 code words are related to "together" and "alone" respectively. We also find the following image, determined to be an Antikythera mechanism, an ancient Greek device used to predict astronomical positions, including lunar cycles. Ok, so as I type this, there are over 60 pages. I'm going to get through as many as I can. Also I've added spoiler tags for those with slower connections. Since we are pretty much stuck at this part, most of this post is going to be speculation, and piecing together what people have mentioned may be relevant. First off, for those who want a closer look at the map, Skull did some editing for us. A few deductions were made about the Antikythera mechanism, however we don't know which information to use. Putting "Antikythera mechanism" as the answer for part 2 gave us this result: It was also noted the the "c" in "crazy" alternates between upper and lower case. The 2nd, 6th, and 10th "crazy" are upper case, as is the final "not". The relevance of this is yet to be discovered. It may relate to the numbered notes, or it may be a red herring. Multiple red herrings have been found already, including one that directly linked to the wikipedia page for "red herring". The wikipedia page for the Antikythera mechanism also gave us a few more leads. We found this quote which again mentions the number 17, as well as "gears", an item in game. Some research and google mapping of Antikythera, the Greek island the device was named for, showed us that it has more possible connections to our puzzle, although that has yet to lead anywhere. I know I've left out post of the stuff about code people have discovered, most of which just reinforces other clues we have already deciphered. Hopefully this helps some people catch up. I'll post again soon, but I can't even catch up myself. 4 additional pages have been added just while I was typing up this post...
  9. Ok dudes, thanks for letting me know I need to post a bit more. Unfortunately the pages are popping up faster than I can even read them! Someone mentioned a Teamspeak earlier in this thread. Is anyone using that? With all the posts in this thread, people, including myself, will never be able to catch up. My 2 cents: a few pages in I had the idea that the first number on the notes (the one not part of the coordinates) was a reference to a day. So perhaps we need to collect an item at specific coordinates, but only on specific days. But then you'd have to get up to day 400, which seems ridiculous. I don't even know if that's possible. But then people mentioned there are 17 days in the DS lunar cycle, so PERHAPS each note does refer to a day (just not a day number). The only flaw in this line of thinking is that it's not very possible/practical to find specific locations in game via coordinates. But either way, I really do think they refer to days.
  10. Ok, I'm not getting the option to edit my post. Well there goes my compilation post...
  11. So I've been reading through this thread and am compiling some of these clues as well as my observations. As I write this, there are about 48 pages. I'm on page 30. So I won't be completely up to date, but I will edit this. 1) The end of the RoG trailer leads us to this website (written at the bottom of the image). 2) We've determined that the notes collected in game contain coordinates, which we mapped out on this map. 3) The bottom left corner of that map contains an image of a note with the number "17" and the comment "stupid birds!".
